Music City Alpacas is a family run business located in Nashville,
TN. Our family began raising Alpacas early 2002 because we fell in
love with the lifestyle & worthwhile investment that alpacas
offered. At Music City Alpacas we have 28 animals, 3 of which are
herd sires, 3 beautiful Suris and many Huacayas. We have a wide
range of beautifully colored animals, all of which are registered in
the U.S. and Canada.

home in Tennessee.
In March, the LaQuiere Family made their showing debut at the Southern
Select Alpaca show on March. Over a two day period Gentle Ben and
Kodiak Ben walked away several Ribbons. Gentle Ben won First place in
Public Relations and Obstacle, Second place with our youngest daughter
Amanda in Showmanship, and two fourth places in Costume and Halter. Kodiak
won third place in Halter.

It was a wonderful learning experience. We learned that when attending
shows you should bring your youngest animals because as an alpaca matures
their hormones play havoc on any Alpacas Fleece. The good thing is
that we got wonderful feed back from the Judge,
Mary Reed, who Remarked " Your Sires have wonderful crimp and a very soft handle
for their age."
After having one show under our belt, The LaQuiere Family, decided to
attend another show. In April, Music City Alpacas attended the 2003 Middle
Tennessee Llama & Alpaca Show and this time we spent most of our concentration
on the Halter Classes. And it was time well spent. We not only walked away
with Two
Blue Ribbons but we also
walked away with a Best
of Show. MCA's Frillica won both First place and Grand
Champion. MCA's Ceilo's Echo won first place followed by our very own
MCA's Tavye with Second place .
